There’s a chair in the center of the control room.

The S.H.I.E.L.D. Tech wipes snow off the object seated on the chair.

“Lieutenant!” shouts the S.H.I.E.L.D. Tech. The lieutenant steps forward with his flashlight.

“What is it?” asks the Tech.

“My God,” says the Lieutenant. “Base, get me a line to the Colonel.”

Base, on the radio, replies, “It’s 3:00 a.m., sir.”

“I don’t care what time it is,” says the Lieutenant. “This one’s waited long enough.”

Encased in the ice, the iconic Captain America star and shield is visible.

The scene shifts to the past.

TITLE: [Tønsberg, Norway, 1942]

A town square on a winter night. A young man, Jan, runs towards a church, opens the heavy door, and bolts it behind him. The Church Keeper descends a flight of stone steps.

“De har kommet for det,” says Jan. [They have come for it]

“Det har de før,” replies the Church Keeper. [They have before]

“Ikke slik,” says Jan. [Not like this]

“La dem komme. De vil aldri finne det,” says the Church Keeper. [Let them come. They will never find it.]
