In the high-tech Brooklyn laboratory, Dr. Abraham Erskine’s voice resonates through the microphone, his tone resolute.

“…step towards annihilation, but the first step on the path to peace. We begin with a series of microinjections into the subject’s major muscle groups. The serum infusion will cause immediate cellular change. And then, to stimulate growth, the subject will be saturated with Vita-Rays,” says Erskine.

Steve Rogers, strapped to the table, winces as a needle pricks his arm. He exhales, managing a small smile. “That wasn’t so bad,” he says, his voice steady despite the tension.

Erskine glances at him, a faint smile breaking through his focus. “That was penicillin.” He steps back, nodding to the technicians. “Serum infusion beginning in five… four… three… two… one.” A series of mechanical clicks echoes as blue vials of serum inject into Steve’s body, the liquid coursing through his veins.
