GUEST: Prop Maker Peter Czink

In the Brooklyn laboratory, the hum of machinery fades as Dr. Abraham Erskine, his voice tight with anticipation, calls out, “Mr. Stark?” The chamber hisses and opens, revealing Steve Rogers, no longer scrawny but tall, muscular, and transformed.

Erskine steps closer, his eyes wide. “Steven. Steven.” He helps Rogers out of the machine.

Colonel Phillips, stunned, mutters under his breath, “The son of a bitch did it.”

In the observation gallery, Brandt’s assistant, Clem, leaves a silver case on one of the chairs.

Steve, breathing heavily, looks down at his new physique. “I did it,” he says, his voice steady with disbelief.

Erskine breaks into a relieved grin. “Yeah, yeah. I think we did it.”

Howard Stark shakes his head in awe. “You actually did it.”

Peggy Carter approaches, her gaze softening as she takes in Steve’s new form. “How do you feel?” she asks.

Steve, a faint smile tugging at his lips, replies, “Taller.”

Peggy holds out her hand, wanting to touch Steve’s new muscular chest, but thinks better of it and quickly withdraws.

“You look taller,” Peggy says, her tone warm with a hint of amusement.

Phillips turns to Senator Brandt, a smile on his face. “How do you like Brooklyn now, Senator?”

Brandt, his expression a mix of shock and calculation, nods. “I can think of some folks in Berlin who are about to get very nervous. Congratulations, Doctor.”

Erskine, his face glowing with pride, responds, “Thank you, sir.”

Clem, on the stairway, looks up at the observation gallery.
