In the Red Skull’s speeding roadster, Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter share a fleeting, intense kiss. Peggy pulls back, her eyes fierce. “Go get him.”
Steve glances at Colonel Phillips, who raises a hand. “I’m not kissing you!”
Steve slings his vibranium shield onto his back and climbs to the front of the roadster. Sparks fly as the shield grazes a Valkyrie propeller. In the cockpit, the Red Skull grits his teeth, pulling back on the control yoke as the massive flying wing nears the hangar exit.
Steve leaps, grabbing the plane’s landing gear. Phillips yanks the roadster’s wheel hard left, spinning the car backward on the icy runway. It skids to a stop, rear wheels teetering over the mountain’s edge.
From the air, Steve glances back at the receding runway. Peggy, leaning over the roadster’s back, watches the Valkyrie carry Steve skyward. The landing gear retracts into the aircraft’s belly, pulling Steve inside as the plane soars into the clouds.
