Peggy catches up, her voice urgent. \u201cWhat do you plan to do, walk to Austria?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Steve, piling clothes into a duffel bag, replies, \u201cIf that\u2019s what it takes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou heard the Colonel. Your friend is most likely dead,\u201d Peggy says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou don\u2019t know that,\u201d Steve counters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEven so, he\u2019s devising a strategy. If he detects – ” begins Peggy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBy the time he\u2019s done that, it could be too late,\u201d Steve interrupts, pulling a leather jacket over his Captain America costume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSteve!\u201d Peggy calls after him, following him outside. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He loads gear into a Jeep, pausing to meet her gaze. \u201cYou told me you thought I was meant for more than this. Did you mean that?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEvery word,\u201d Peggy says firmly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen you’ve got to let me go,\u201d Steve insists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Peggy\u2019s eyes soften. \u201cI can do more than that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Back at the camp\u2019s stage, the stage manager claps his hands. \u201cOn stage, girls. Five minutes!\u201d Three chorus girls prep, two grabbing helmets labeled \u201cU\u201d and \u201cS.\u201d The \u201cA\u201d helmet is missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhere\u2019s my helmet?\u201d one girl asks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnyone seen Rogers?\u201d the stage manager barks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The scene shifts to a silver Beechcraft 18 plane soaring over the Italian Alps at night, the \u201cSTARK INDUSTRIES\u201d logo gleaming on its tail. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Inside, Peggy briefs Steve using a contour map. \u201cThe Hydra camp is in Krausberg, tucked between these two mountain ranges. It\u2019s a factory of some kind.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
